This was a two-week special at Moose's Tooth, and after one bite I knew that I had to discover their secret recipe. I grilled the waitress, analyzed the description on the menu, and scoured the internet for the perfect matches. (It wasn't really that much work.)
Mixed italian greens
strawberries, sliced
mandarin orange slices (from the can)
goat cheese (chevron--the creamier, the better!)
white vinegar dressing
Toss together the Italian greens, strawberries, orange slices, and dressing. Then, pinch off small pieces of the goat cheese, and crumble them as best as you can (ideally, the cheese is creamy, not crumbly) on top of the salad. Top with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
WHITE VINEGAR DRESSING:
1.5 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 cup white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
Mix together all ingredients, then boil (covered) for five minutes.
YUMM!!
