Samie's Super Shells

This was a recipe gifted to me by Ben at one of my bridal showers. He wrote it on the back of a label from a sheet set (see photo below). I love that guy.

1 box jumbo shells (16oz) (cooked)
16oz ricotta cheese
16oz shredded mozzerella
1/2 c. parmesan cheese
16oz spinach, rinsed and diced
1 lb beef or italian sausage or mix of the two (cooked & drained)
1 jar spaghetti/tomato sauce
black pepper
1 tsp sweet basil
1 tbsp olive oil
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. parsely
1 tsp. garlic powder

  1. Preheat the oven to 375degF
  2. Mix half of the mozzerella with the all cheeses, spices, oil, and egg.
  3. Fold in the spinach and the meat.
  4. Use a tablespoon to fill cooked shells with the mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and top with sauce.
  6. Bake covered for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for 5 more minutes.
